South End Sun is first published.

Initially, the weekly newspaper’s motto is, “Published in the interest of the welfare of the South End and Back Bay.” It subsequently is changed to, “Shines For All But Especially for Those Between Boston Common and Roxbury.” The last issue is published in January 1927.
